My grandmother’s house was heaven on earth but there is one thing that I am truly afraid of is the huge deer head on the wall high up in the living room.

By evening, most of the people in the house would be in their rooms or the kitchen. The living room would be empty and silent. I would be playing running between the kitchen and the living room.

When I come to the living room, I would look up and see this deer head (it’s a fake as I found out years later). It seems like the deer is staring at me, watching my every move. It’s so real that I often had to drag my grandma to accompany me to the living room.
