Just, Fair & Ethical

From the NST:-

Home Minister Datuk Seri Syed Hamid Albar said the act had always been used in a just, fair and ethical matter.

“It has never been abused or used for politics,” he said in reply to People’s Progressive Party President Datuk M. Kayveas’ threat to take the party out of Barisan Nasional if the ISA was not amended or repealed by the next general election.

The words just, fair and ethical – hardly the words used to justify the use of a draconian law that holds someone without any opportunity to be presented in a court of law and at the whims and fancy of the politicians.

ISA had never been abused or used for politics? The sky must be falling down.

Want to cry?

Watch this

I remember when I returned from my tour of duty in Afghanistan and saw my son for the first time  at the airport after almost 3 months, he ran up to me, jumped on me and as I hugged him close, he started to cry and did not stop until we reached the car.

So when I watched this scene of a dad making surprise visit to his son after 7 months stationed in Iraq, I had tears in my eyes without me realising about it. It reminded me of my own son.
