LTTE Leader Killed?

The leader of the Tamil Tiger rebels, Velupillai Prabhakaran, is dead, the Sri Lankan military has said.
If this true, it could be the start of the end of one of the longest civil war in Asia and the demise of LTTE, claimed to be one of the most feared terrorist groups in the world.

I seriously wonder if this is a good thing or a bad thing. One can only hope that peace prevails and the bloodshed stops
