I was too tired to blog on this yesterday…

It seems like the good news yesterday was the fact that Syed Hamid Albar aka “the not-so-smart Home Minster” and Azalina Othman (remember her for proposing new sports training center in Brickendonbury England?) have been booted from the newly created Cabinet by Najib.
On the other hand, plenty of bad news, namely:-
Najib’s new cabinet
The remaining composition of the Najib’s cabinet members, well, let’s just say that there is nothing to shout about.
Koh Tsu Koon is in charge of Unity and Performance but will he stand up to UMNO politicians when they play the racial card? Mohamed Nazri Aziz is still in charge of Law and Parliament, so do expect the zoo in the Parliament to continue. Peter Chin Fah Kui is in charge of Green Technology but do you remember his indecisiveness when Malaysia was hit by haze from Indonesia?
Aisehman has more on other Ministers here.
Altantuya Shaariibu’s murder outcome
The High Court convicted the 2 policemen involved in Altantuya Shaariibu’s murder and sentenced to death.
As the piece in Malaysian Insider correctly asked, the question “why” was never answered in court although many already know the reasons why. True to the Malaysia system of justice, once again, only the small fish was made to pay the price whilst the big fish was no where to be seen.
Federal Court ruling for Perak
The Federal Court ruled that the Election Commission had the right to decide whether state seats are vacant and therefore the three independent Perak state assemblymen who quit their parties will keep their seats. It looks like it is going to be another long night for the Pakatan Rakyat in Perak despite an affirmative win in the recent by-elections
Will there be more bad news than good news in the coming months?
