Role Models?

From theStar:-

“The Bar Council is supposed to be a role model. If police enforce the law and among those caught are their (Bar Council) members, they have to accept it (Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz)

Aisey, sometimes, when politicians open the mouth to talk, it is unfortunate that it can be nothing but bull-shit. Watch the video taken when the lawyers was arrested by the police

(youtube URL at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FtZEJMTq1EE)

The fact of the case is that the police acted very aggressively against peaceful protestors and without proper reason, arrested the protestors. But when their lawyers tried to meet the arrested protestors, they got arrested too. Does this sound so familiar with the Hindraf lawyers who were also got arrested when they tried to meet with the arrested protestors?

Why the OCPD who ordered the arrests acted so aggressively and did not want to listen to any reasons? In fact, the way he acted against the peaceful protestors and subsequently against the lawyer of one that was high on drugs and rage. Is this the kind of people we want to trust our protection with?

More than 1,400 lawyers who attended the Extraordinary Meeting of the Malaysian Bar last Friday had demanded the resignation of the Home Affairs Minister, the IGP, the Brickfields OCPD and the investigating officer.

Looking at the video, at the very least, the OCPD must be made accountable for the undue provocation and arrest of peaceful Malaysians. By the way politicians who talk nothing but crap should join the “to be sacked” list – they are not the role models that we are looking for.
